Parking Ticket Lameness

I live in Ottawa, where EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' ROAD is regulated.  Except the one I live on :).  I mean there's a few signs that say "No Parking" but for the most part its a free for all.  And today I got a parking ticket... I've been parking on my road (which is a DEAD END loop) for the past 3 month.  I regularly leave my car untouched for a week or so at a time.  Surprisingly, I actually drove my car Thursday night, got the ticket Friday morning then drove again Friday night which is strange and miraculous.  Otherwise it may have been over a week before I even saw the stupid thing.

My parking ticket claims I exceeded the three hour maximum... EXCUSE ME but exactly which three hour maximum are you referring to???  Like I said there are no posted time limits on my street.  So I'm kind of (very) confused...  But this is Ottawa so I'm sure when I go fight it I'll find out about some hidden bylaw or some sort of rigamarole ridiculousness of a big city.  I just hope that A) I win the fight and B) I don't get another one before I move in a few weeks because I don't really have another option about where to park my car...and making sure I move it every three hour is hopeless (I'm way too busy lazy).

I'M FRUSTRATED... But it does make me excited to move back to a small city of 50K where this kind of BS just doesn't exist!
